And the day came, she packed up and gone away,
With the cold breeze in the deepest dark of the night...

I tried this the other day. I was exhausted after donating 2500 grains and had to stop at vocab level 16 (coming way down from 30). Whenever I go above this, it keeps on asking harder questions then I go down to 11 and spend minutes to make my way back up to 16. Really exhausting, especially if you have a competitive gist like me.

And the day comes, I pack up and go
In the smell of the nets just pulled out of the sea
From island to island
At the tail of the shearwaters.
There are worlds you can't imagine,
Where the flowers bloom with a blast in turmoil
Where the smoke comes with a blast out of the soil.
And the seagulls, those seagulls
With a fresh urge in each and every feather.
And the day comes as blue as my head
And the day comes as sun as my head
And the day comes as nuts as it can be.

Baban diyor ki: "Meserret çocukların, yalnız
Çocukların payıdır! Ey güzel çocuk, dinle;
Fakat sevincinle
Neler düşündürüyorsun, bilir misin?...Babasız,
Ümitsiz, ne kadar yavrucakların şimdi
Sıyâh-ı mateme benzer terane-î îdi!
Çıkar o süsleri artık, sevindiğin yetişir;
Çıkar, biraz da şu öksüz giyinsin, eğlensin;
Biraz güzellensin
Şu ru-yı zerd-i sefalet...Evet meserrettir
Çocukların payı; lakin sevincinle
Sevinmiyor şu yetim, ağlıyor...Halûk, dinle!

Today is Sunday
Today is sunday,
For the first time in months I am drunk.
And for the first time in my life
I've talked on and on,
Surprizing myself,
That I was so far from me,
That I was so needy,
That I was so loaded.
Then I sat desperately on my place,
Put my back against myself.
At this moment,
Neither reuniting with the waves,
At this moment,
Neither the fight, the future, the love.
Blood, alcohol and me,
I am contended.

Excellent! I especially liked the Track 5. (They) should definitely get some professional representation.

I hope they sign-up with a record company soon and continue to produce this somewhat unique sound.

Nice pictures.

All of them seems to be about sleep somehow. Not literally as this one may be. They are mostly taken at a time when nature seems to prepare for the sleep and you simply get a sense of peace, rest and a bit of a loneliness just before his/her touch.

From the page: "was a Portrait Class project that I decided to finish in my spare time after the workshop. It probably took a total of around 65-75 hours to complete. The small images are step by step photographs taken during the painting process, and the large image is the final painting after detail and skin texture are added with an eraser and colored pencil. The main colors are blocked in at the beginning, but refinement is withheld until the very end. Look for a more complete step by step article in an upcoming magazine issue~Dru Blair"

I watched this film ages ago. Excellent film, very strong story and amazing performance by Daniel Day-Lewis and Pete Postlethwaite. Brilliant film about the Irish problem and pure injustice due to politics and its reflections on common people's life. Nevertheless, it was the way the relationship between the father and the son brought to the audience which I really liked about this film. I recommend it.
